HCL Music1.23 - App Store

The conservation and promotion of India’s art and cultural heritage is very close to HCL’s heart. To this end, HCL has been organizing HCL Concerts since 1998, dedicated to identifying, evolving and promoting talent rooted in the glorious heritage of Indian classical performing arts. With over 25 concerts every year across India, HCL Concerts is one of the largest live performance platforms today. To continue to take classical music to even higher pedestals, HCL now introduces HCL Music, an app with the finest and most diverse collection of Indian classical music. An audio only app, it is perhaps the only app in the world to offer a completely ad-free and subscription-free access to Indian classical music, an experience to cherish for all music lovers. The app features a wide repertoire of classical music, ranging from studio recordings featuring young maestros, live concerts performances of the some of the greatest musicians ever, interviews and an extensive collection of crowd sourced music from the most talented upcoming artists of today’s generation.

One of the highlights of the first version of the app is HCL Maestros in Studio, one of the largest ever studio projects, capturing young maestros from across India in high quality studio recordings with over a 1,000 minutes of Hindustani and Carnatic music. Unadulterated and exquisite, it’s an experience a classical music listener can just not afford to miss. The app also features live performances from concerts by the most accomplished and popular musicians such as Ustad Amjad Ali Khan, Pandit Shivkumar Sharma, Pandit Hariprasad Chaurasia, Ustad Shujaat Khan, Ustad Rashid Khan, Dr. L Subramaniam, Smt. Shubha Mudgal, Pandit Ulhas Kashalkar, Pandit Chhannulal Mishra, Pandit Vishwamohan Bhatt, Vidwan Vikku Vinayakram, Kaushiki Chakraborty, Amaan Ali Bangash, Ayaan Ali Bangash, Purbayan Chatterjee, Rahul Sharma and many more.

To continue to nurture Indian classical music, HCL Music is also a platform for aspiring musicians to place their music alongside that of the stalwarts and reach listeners all over the world. The app features a large collection of high quality music from young, upcoming and immensely talented artists. Through this endeavor HCL Music hopes to make these artists household names and establish the next generation of superstars of Indian classical music. HCL Music invites all such musicians to come onboard by registering at http://app.hclconcerts.com/ to know about the music submission process. Last but not the least, the app features a number of interviews featuring young as well as senior musicians, which budding artists can learn to and better their dexterity. And it only becomes better from here. You can also share your favorite music, album or artist profiles with your friends and family to spread the word and contribute to the promotion of Indian classical music.
